Il n’est pas seulement celui qui transmet la Loi révélée aux hommes, ni celui qui assure le meilleur gouvernement possible de la cité, il est également un modèle de perfection pour les hommes. Cette exemplarité du Prophète trouve son fondement dans la structure même de la métaphysique d’Avicenne. Nous explorerons la doctrine des trois modes de la prophétie d’Avicenne pour comprendre pourquoi le Prophète est le médiateur par excellence et comment cette médiation a une fonction fondamentale au plan métaphysique.\nMeryem Sebti est chercheuse au CNRS et chargée de conférences invitée à l’EPHE. Elle a principalement travaillé sur Avicenne, notamment sur sa doctrine de l’âme et sa prophétologie.
