Il assume rapidement la fonction de maître-éducateur, au sein de la voie (tarîqa) ‘Alâwiyya dont il est le fondateur. Celle-ci, issue de la tradition Shâdhiliyya-Darqâwiyya, connait alors une expansion fulgurante. De nos jours encore, l’influx initiatique du cheikh rayonne dans le monde, à travers les nombreuses ramifications de la voie-mère.\nLe cheikh al-‘Alâwî a su harmoniser en lui les tensions de son époque, ne ménageant pas ses efforts contre l’action délétère de la France en Algérie, et nourrissant le débat avec les milieux musulmans hostiles au soufisme ; il a même employé à cet effet l’outil du journalisme.\nCette grande figure spirituelle du début du XXe siècle, à l’inspiration lumineuse et à l’ancrage profond dans l’Unicité divine (Tawhîd), a indubitablement apporté un souffle nouveau au soufisme, comme en témoigne l’importance de son œuvre écrite.\nIslamologue et spécialiste du soufisme, Éric Geoffroy est l’auteur d’une douzaine d’ouvrages, dont plusieurs sont traduits en différentes langues. Il est membre de l’Académie Arabe du Caire, et président de l’association Conscience Soufie.\nVous pouvez retrouver un dossier spécial « Muhyî al-Dîn Ibn ‘Arabî (1165-1240) » sur notre site : https://consciencesoufie.com/muhyi-al-din-ibn-arabi/\nAttention, après votre inscription, vous recevrez immédiatement un e-mail de confirmation de Helloasso.
